Certified Heavy Equipment & Lifting Operations Management Professional (CHELOMP)™

The Certified Heavy Equipment & Lifting Operations Management Professional (CHELOMP)™ certification program is a prestigious and industry-relevant qualification designed for professionals seeking to build or advance careers in heavy equipment operations, lifting management, construction logistics, industrial maintenance, infrastructure projects, oil and gas operations, ports, mining, manufacturing, and large-scale project execution environments. In today’s complex and safety-critical operational landscape, heavy equipment and lifting operations demand far more than equipment handling and site coordination—they require structured planning, technical awareness, risk-based decision-making, regulatory compliance, asset reliability management, and the ability to coordinate people, machinery, loads, work zones, and operational schedules with precision. This program equips participants with comprehensive knowledge of equipment operations, lifting activity planning, safety governance, lifecycle management, compliance standards, and digital tools that support efficient and safe heavy lift execution.

Heavy equipment and lifting operations professionals play a critical role in ensuring that complex lifting, rigging, hoisting, transportation, and material handling activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project objectives. These professionals must understand equipment capabilities, load characteristics, ground conditions, lifting plans, operator competency, inspection requirements, maintenance schedules, communication protocols, and emergency response procedures. Poorly planned lifting operations can result in severe safety incidents, project delays, asset damage, regulatory penalties, and financial losses. The CHELOMP™ program develops the technical, managerial, and operational judgment required to plan, supervise, monitor, and continuously improve heavy equipment and lifting activities across diverse industrial and project environments.

Graduates of the CHELOMP™ program will be equipped to manage heavy equipment operations and lifting activities with professionalism, safety discipline, operational efficiency, and strategic oversight in both local and international industrial, construction, logistics, and infrastructure environments.
