2011–2012: The Foundation of Purpose
AIBM is founded to redefine professional certification
In 2011, the American Institute of Business & Management (AIBM) was born out of a desire to transform how working professionals access high-quality, globally aligned certification programs. Created by academics and business leaders in the U.S., AIBM set out to offer practical, affordable, and flexible learning opportunities for a rapidly changing workforce.
2013–2014: Entering the Middle East
Strategic partnerships accelerate AIBM’s regional growthn
In 2013, AIBM launched its Middle East operations in partnership with ATMS (Al Tareeqah Management Studies), a leading training provider in the UAE. This marked the beginning of AIBM's strong foothold in the Gulf region, bringing international certification access to thousands of learners across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
2014–2015: Specialization Begins
AIBM launches its first set of industry-specific institutions
To meet demand for niche, career-specific skills, AIBM founded several subsidiary certification bodies, including:
- AIPLM – Project & Logistics Management
- AIFB – Finance & Banking
- AIIT – Information Technology
- AIREM – Real Estate Managementt
These verticals allowed AIBM to deliver focused, expert-driven certification programs tailored to each sector.
2016–2017: Growth Through Diversification
A second wave of specialized institutions expands AIBM’s impacts
Riding on growing demand, AIBM launched a new set of professional institutes, covering even more industries and emerging fields:
- AIPC – Procurement & Contractst
- AIDSAI – Data Science & AI
- AICM – Construction Managementy
- AIIM – Innovation & Marketingt
- AIEHSM – Environmental Health & Safetyt
- AIOGM – Oil & Gas Managementt
- AIEM – Engineering Management
These institutions strengthened AIBM’s position as a multi-industry certification powerhouse.
2024: A Focus on Integrated Healthcare
Launch of AIIHM – American Institute of Integrated Healthcare Management
Addressing the need for holistic, interdisciplinary healthcare leadership, AIBM founded AIIHM to offer advanced certifications in integrated care systems, healthcare operations, and patient-centered management.
2025: The Birth of OMI – Operations Management Institute
A new chapter for operational excellence
Recognizing operations as a strategic function vital to global competitiveness, AIBM launched the Operations Management Institute (OMI) in 2025. Designed to empower operations professionals, COOs, analysts, and transformation leaders, OMI delivers high-impact certifications in supply chain, operational strategy, process excellence, and digital operations—rooted in AIBM's proven legacy of learning.
