
Membership Process at OMI:
Becoming a member of the Operations Management Institute (OMI) is a straightforward process designed to welcome professionals committed to advancing their careers in operations. Applicants complete a simple registration, submit required qualifications for review, and upon approval, gain access to exclusive learning resources, professional certifications, networking opportunities, and member benefits that support growth and recognition in the field of operations management.
Introduction
The Operations Management Institute (OMI) offers professional memberships to recognize individuals who demonstrate commitment to advancing their expertise in operations management. Membership is categorized into two levels:
- Associate Membership
- Fellow Membership
Associate Membership (AMAIBM)
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for Associate Membership (AMAIBM), an applicant must:
- Hold a relevant professional certification by completing training and assessment
- Demonstrate professional experience in the field of Certification
- Commit to continuous learning and professional development.
Membership Number & Certification
- Upon approval, the member will be issued an Associate Membership Number (e.g., AMAIBM1324).
- Upon approval, the member will be issued an Associate Membership Number
- The corresponding Certification Number will also be assigned (e.g., 1324).
- The membership remains valid as long as the member complies with OMI’s ethical and professional standards.
Fellow Membership (FMAIBM)
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate may apply for Fellow Membership (FMAIBM) after a minimum of three (3) years of being an Associate Member, provided they meet the following conditions:
- Have made significant contributions to the profession
- Have demonstrated leadership and impact in their respective field.
- Maintain a consistent record of professional development.
- Submit an application for review by the AIBM Membership Committee with fees of USD 150.
Membership Number & Certification
- Upon approval, the member will receive a new Fellow Membership Number (e.g., FMAIBM2376).
- The previous Associate Membership Number will be archived, and the new Fellow Membership details will supersede it.
Application Process
Applications for Associate and Fellow Membership must be submitted with supporting documents, including qualifications, professional achievements, and relevant experience.
- The AIBM Membership Committee will review applications and make the final decision.
- Membership approval is subject to adherence to AIBM’s code of conduct and professional ethics.
Membership Renewal & Compliance
- Associate and Fellow Members are expected to uphold the highest professional and ethical standards.
- Membership status may be revoked in cases of misconduct or failure to comply with AIBM’s policies.
- AIBM reserves the right to update or modify the membership structure as necessary.
